Industry Update 2017/18 South Pacific and Asia
The Pacific fleet looks promising for the upcoming season as more and more large yachts venture in to the Asia Pacific area, some making it their long-term cruising destination.
As well as meeting with numerous yachts that we have been communicating with over the last few months regarding agency services, 37S directors inspected the central charter listings we have in Tahiti – Miss Kulani presently doing dry dock period and the Ultimate lady which has just completed a busy charter in the Tuamotus.
Tahiti continues to be a challenge with import restrictions, however 37S have succeeded in this area with numerous recent shipments. Another visit planned for late June and also Fiji in July will focus on the company's continued support and supply services to a large majority of visiting Super yachts to the region.
With an active Charter department, we also have an extensive selection of itineraries to assist the private yacht cruising with owners and charterers alike throughout the Asia – Pacific area. 37South are very active with fresh provisioning in to these areas, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. Director, Allan Jouning is currently hosting numerous international charter brokers on a familiarisation trip in Indonesia on board our charter CA Dunia Baru, the third one in the region 37South has hosted during which we introduce the vessel and the region to select charter brokers. 37S Charter Specialist, Fleur Tomlinson also recently attended the MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona - for full story click here.
