The Nigata Shipyard built IMMORTALIS to function as a scientific research vessel for the Japanese government, and it has fulfilled various roles such as conducting seismic surveys, transporting heavy cargo, and serving as a training vessel for crew.
The keel of the vessel has undergone recent upgrades, which included the addition of 18 metres of steel. This enhancement has significantly increased its stability, making it an ideal choice for undertaking extended voyages to remote and uncharted regions on the planet. The boat is fully equipped with military-grade gear and features backup systems for every component, ensuring failsafe operation throughout the entire vessel.
Overnight, IMMORTALIS can accommodate up to 12 guests in five cabins, with an additional triple cabin available where necessary. The refurbished vessel marries a modern, contemporary style from Ashley Sutton Design with glimpses into her former life as a scientific research vessel.
IMMORTALIS offers clients a comfortable and secure platform to discover an abundance of cultural diversity, breathtaking wildlife, volcanic landscapes, and a wealth of cultural treasures. With specialised equipment including a Touch & Go Helipad, a dive locker, and two tenders, exploration is made easy and conducted to the highest standards.
